7:00p SWING FUNDAMENTALS & DEVELOPMENT
Start off with learning and reviewing the basic patterns of swing and get started on the right foot.
Then you'll continue to learn several new moves, new patterns, and new combinations to keep your dance bag-o-tricks growing. Swing into some fun and you'll be ready to tear up the dance floor in no time!

SAMPLE CLASS SCHEDULE

WEEK 1

6-COUNT SWING: Frame, Footwork, and Terminology. Open/Closed Position. Outside Turn, InsideTurn, Belt Turn, Under Arm Turn.
WEEK 2-6

6-COUNT EAST COAST SWING: Open/Closed Positions. Passbys. Transitions to Open. Sugar Push. Footwork, Drapes, Cuddles, Dbl spins. Review.

8-COUNT SWINGOUT: Outside Turn, InsideTurn, Free Spin, Passbys. Lindy Circle. Transitions to Open.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER! Review - 6ct and 8ct patterns. Possibly Dips & Tricks.


WHAT TO WEAR
CLOTHING
Wear comfy clothes. T-Shirt, shorts, slacks, skirt, etc. Bring extra TShirt and towel. in case
SHOES - EXAMPLES HERE
Bring flat, non-treaded shoes. Like dress shoes, flats, leather-bottomed shoes. The "slippery-er" the better. No gym shoes. If you don't have slippery shoes, you can wear socks over your shoes.
